Game 76 Trial 3 The Trial of the Two

[Squidzz]

You all shuffle in to the trial carriage again, the stands and pictures of the dead are set up as you would expect, the mysterious man lays on the seat at the end of the room.

"PLEASE MAKE YOURSELVES AT HOME, THIS WILL BE THE FINAL TRIAL OF OUR TRIP, IF YOU SUCCEED HERE, YOU WILL ALL GO HOME FREE, HOWEVER, DUE TO THE LACK OF PEOPLE, IF YOU FAIL THIS ONE YOU WILL ALL SUFFER THE SAME FATE, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE BLACKENED OF COURSE."
The trial will go for 48 hours, due to my exams i have opted to give you more information than usual, you may still ask questions for the first 24 hours although because of my schedule i will only be able to answer one round of questions, so include everything you want to know in one wave. Opera walks to his podium, glancing around. Slowly, he removes his mask, and puts it away. "Ottimo. Alla vittoria!" He looks back up at everyone gathered, his face determined. "For those we've lost, and for those we've left to lose..." He takes out his notes and nods in confirmation. "I will go first, in the vain of Terry."
Action 1: "I realized that I never actually took a look in my room before, so I headed off to the Male Dorms. I slipped into my room and investigated. When I got to the bed I..." Opera quietly rubs his head. "It was comfy, so I slept upright. Though I fell flat on my head and woke up."

Action 2: "I decided to head to the Sauna after realizing how comfortable the bed was, and I met Ludwig there. I struck up a conversation with him, and it...it ended up..." He looks over at Ludwig, his eyes shifting to a look of disapproval. "Our taste in "magazines", to put it nicely..." He facepalms. "God...I feel dirty just remembering that..."

Action 3: "The lights turned off, and..." He looks down, sighing. "Well, it is no secret how defensive I get. So I stayed in the Sauna, keeping myself safe."

Action 4: "I realized that the only time I had ever seen the Morgue statues was during the crime scene investigation of Trial 1
, so I went off to appreciate them. Ludwig was there as well, but after our conversation earlier...he was avoiding eye contact with me." 
Action 5: "I decided to cautiously see the fish in the Aquarium, and I heard a scream. It..." He rubs his eyes, shaking his head. "
Gesù salvami, it almost gave me a heart attack."

Action 6: "I...I needed to calm down desperately, so I went back to the Sauna. However...that is when body discovery happened..."

Opera takes a deep breath, putting his fist to his chest and keeping his head down. It seems to be a calming down technique. "As for my evidence, I found shards of a vase on the floor, scuff marks, various items toppled from the shelves, a bloody peg, and a piece of tarp."

"Alright as im still gathering my info about my investigations i shall tell you my alibi for now"

Act 1
I went all over the place tonight and i started in that weird computer room to figure out what caused us of all people to be stuck here. So i looked around and found an audio recording
Act 2
I went to the mirror or dark room to check on that bucket of waste i tried to hide, it was gone due to trial cleaning it up or something sooo mission accomplished? Anyways i found a drawing of a girl with pigtails sweets, weird.
Act 3
I went to the infirmary once again to look around, i read a letter with a bottle of alcohol before the lights went out and i hid under the ned
Act 4
With the lights still out i tried to go to the armory to find the garden door locked in the storage. I heard a lot of moving around so i booked it to the kitchen and found a code or something, i then heard a loud thump or something (i need to check that in my acts sorry).
Act 5
I went into the female dorms and decided to look around again to no avail, when i heard that scream opera mentioned.
Act 6
I hid in my room preparing to defend myself when right as the lights were about to go out they stayed on and the body discovery announcement went off.

Alibi time huh? Well, when night started I went back to my room with Megu-chan's staff from yesterday. I was trying to figure out how it worked, but sadly I couldn't. I spent a little longer (second action) pondering what to do, then left to find Megu-chan and ask her how she uses it. I went to the front carriage, where I saw Megu-chan, and I questioned her about the staff. The lights flickered, and she started talking some nonsense about "skill points" and "explosion magic skill". I tuned out after a while, I clearly wasn't going to get anything logical out of her. At this point (same action) the light's turned off, and I heard multiple people shuffling around inside. I also heard the door the next room close. I stayed still, not wanting to move around in the dark (next action). At this point, I heard a very faint crash coming from a distant carriage. I followed the direction of the sound, and eventually I arrived in the storage room, where I found the bodies of Megu-chan and Ter-kun (Night End).

The point of this is that I with my brilliant deductive reasoning have come to the conclusion that Megu-chan was killed after the lights turned off!

Which means I'm clear of all guilt! 



I couldn't move in the dark, that's too scary.

I wont be able to give invest results, I didn't see the post asking for invests, so I never sent them. My bad, sorry about that. I am going to be more active this week though, so we got this .

Here's a quick TLDR:

Action 1: In Dorms
Action 2: In Dorms
Action 3: With Megumin (Victim) In Front Carriage, Lights Go Off
Action 4: Front Carriage, Hears Movement And A Door Shut
Action 5: Investigates A Faint Crash Noise, Finds Bodies
NIGHT END

What this means is that at least one of the victims was alive during action 3. This means that the murder took place in action 4, since i found the bodies in action 5.

Because of this, I would like to cast suspicion on HITOMI (Onigiri). Opera and Ludwig have an alibi for action 4, as they were with each other. Hitomi has no provable alibi for action 4, plus its the only action of the night where she wasn't able to give her complete action. QUOTE:

Not only is she being incredibly vague, but she also conveniently isn't sure if this is correct, she has to "check her results". So if someone calls her out on a lie, she can just say she misread her act.

This isn't solid evidence so I wouldn't vote for her just yet, but it seems mighty suspicious if you ask me.

Ooc: yea it was the same crash i needed to check for that. I have bad memory but as an apology heres what i got invest wize.

"Alright for the bodies i noticed both bodies had puncture wounds in their chests, right on the heart, but no signs of poisoning. They also showed brusing, terrys being more obvious, and had some on his neck and head, terrys face looked panicked and megus looked blank, he also had samples in testubes of the garden, and leaves on his shirt. Upon checking the garden some of the leaves were broken off, and some plants and soil was moved. My theorey is that the culprit ambushed megumin with terry as a witness when the lights went out, and had ran into the storage, from there the killer stabbed him and assembled the two bodies in the storage, right on time for ouma to discover them. Anyone have some evidence from the crime scene or elsewhere to support this?"

Ludwig takes a deep breath, after the events of tonight. "This night has been.... Eventful...."

"Action 1 I went to the sauna to see if it is usable. It reeked of death, so I didn't bother soaking. Action 2, I was seen by Opera..." Ludwig cleared his throat, blushing slightly. "Let's just say he snuck into my room and found something that was given to me for Christmas by Tino..." Ludwig shakes his head. "Anyways... Action 3, I went to the morgue, hoping there was a way out through there. Sadly, there wasn't. Action 4, I was about to head when Opera walked up to me and tried to talk to me. I didn't want to talk to him after our last talk..." Ludwig glares at Opera. "Bring it up one more time, and I'll snap your arm, instead of dislocating it. Anyways, Action 5, I tried to go to the Garden when I noticed the door to it was locked, so I was stuck with Opera. That's when I heard a scream. Action 6, Opera has left the Aquarium, while Lekki opened the door to the garden, stating that they believe they have caught the killer. That's when the discovery happened. As for my results, the Infirmary was a bit messed up, but it has no connection to the murder at all."

Opera quietly coughs after the threat made by Ludwig. "Anyways...we are missing only one alibi." He points at Lekki, his eyes slits. "And that is Gardener Girl." 

(OOC: So I was rereading my actions after Ludwig posted, to confirm if I saw him or not. I was so distracted by the fish that I heard someone, but I panicked and ran to a corner. I never saw them because I mostly kept to the fish. I assume this was Ludwig trying to avoid conversation after...what we talked about. coughs awkwardly)

(i have barely any time on my hands so i apologize if this is short, exam week is hectic)

Lekki sniffed slightly, staring at the floor as she mumbled over her alibi.

"Action one... I went to the storage room where I gathered my usual chains and a katana for protection of mr. flytrap. Nobody was there.

Action two I ventured into the garden, mr. plant began speaking to me but stopped when Terry entered, he was taking garden samples. He looked pretty beat up and had a bruise on his head.

Action three I heard somebody walk past and go into the next carriage. The plant wanted to talk to me alone so I pushed Terry out the room out the same door the other person walked out of. I chained both doors so nobody could disrupt me and mr. plants conversation and he told me some... plot related things.

Action four I went on orb defensse with my katana incase anybody broke into the garden. I heard somebody knock on the door to the storage side, then heard somebody running in the opposite direction. There was a grunting sound and a large smash...

Action five I pushed myself against the door and attempted to hear what was occurring. I heard somebody scream and heard somebody rattling on the other door.

Action six I let the person rattling the door, Ludwig, into the room. I explained what I assumed was happening and opened the door to the storage... and that's when I screamed... and... the bodies were discovered..."

It's time for invest. For the sake of time i'll copy and paste my results.

"The two bodies lay embracing in each others arms on the floor, Megumin's face looks very blank, Terry looks distressed, the bodies are still slightly warm. Upon seperating them you see very thin puncture marks in their chests, Terry also has bruise marks around his neck, whilst megumin's bruises are slightly less visible. Additionally Terry has a slight bruise on his head, and a few leaves are stuck on his shirt, and there are several test tubes strapped to his belt filled with leaves, grass and water samples.

The puncture marks are circular and about a centimetre in diameter, it appears to be from some sort of sharp, pointed object. The bruise on the neck goes around the front of the neck from the left side to the right, the bruise on his head is awkwardly shaped, like a rough triangle. There is blood around the area of the puncture and it has soaked into their clothes but not much of it."

She closes her eyes,

"Either we're dealing with a murder suicide... or somebody who i'd locked in the first front rooms of the carriage did it."

Opera quietly nods. "Mmm...thank you Lekki." He crosses his arms, closing his eyes. "I have determined the puncture wounds are related, they were definitely used to kill them." He points straight ahead. "I would like to say that somehow, the two were brutally beat before being stabbed by the bloody peg I found earlier. However, here is where we find a contradiction." He glances over at Lekki. "Terry was seen with leaves, no? And I found scuff marks, like they were dragged. However, you claim to have pushed him out. So either, Megumin had set himself up for a frame for you...or you're lying."

Lekki raises an eyebrow, "He was collecting samples, there were leaves and other items around his waist when I pushed him out. I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say nor do I see the contradiction myself..."

Opera shakes his head. "I apologize. I thought I saw a contradiction..." He slowly looks at Hitomi. "..."
(OOC: Thought there was a contradiction, mostly because Hitomi over here was saying the kill happened in the Garden. Now I'm not sure what the hell's going on.)

"The murders occured in the storage room, that's the only possible way that I would have heard it from my position in the garden. I had locked both of the garden doors so by actions 4 the killer was locked in the front of the train... And who, may you ask, was at the front of the train during these times, or claimed so to be? ...Just look at alibis. Either this was a murder suicide, somebody lied and wasn't seen for a4-a6 or the killer is Ouma or Hitomi."

Opera nods quietly. "If we take a look at alibis like you say Lekki, there are three possibilities that stand out to me. One, Ouma could have been the one who stole Megumin away and did the murder, then 5, he had seen the bodies and not triggered discovery. This theory is also backed by Hitomi's alibi, due to her knocking on the door before running. Two, one of our victims initiated a struggle with the other after Hitomi knocked and fled, and killed the other. The murderer, bruised from the fight, possibly committed suicide and threw the peg as a last bit of strength before death. Three, one of the victims knocked on the door as Hitomi came and knocked them out, while the other rushed away. Hitomi, possibly bloodthirsty, engaged with them as well, and knocked them out. She then proceeded to commit the murder and walked away, for Ouma to discover." He sighs, shaking his head. "Keep in mind, only the first theory seems a bit valid to me. The other two have some holes that I cannot entirely fill, and I apologize."

"I was focused on finding clues at the time, besides if i was gonna kill anyone it would be freaking aki and we all know what happened with her. Anyways, theres one thing that bothers me, why does terry have leaves stuck to his shirt if lekki was in the garden, how did she not see it? Unless... We all know where im getting at. Thoughts?"

Opera quietly sighs. "Lekki has stated in her alibi that Terry was gathering samples. Of course, she could be lying, however I have not seen you mention anything about his belt having said samples. So both sides have an argument." He shrugs, looking tired.
